Badih Akkad founded the company in 1959, he choose Carrara - Italy as it is the center of the marble and granite world. He worked extensively in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and through out the Middle East and Europe, providing marble and granite for villas, shopping center, hotels and government buildings. He built a reputation on honesty and providing the higher quality stone at a fair price.

His son's Osman, Wassim and Bassam are now running the company and have extended their reach to Dubai and the United States of America.

Wassim is in charge of choosing the stones and overseeing the products at their site and finished product. He travel the world from Spain to India, China, Iran, etc. personally selecting the stones to ensure the highest quality.

Osman's responsability is sales and marketing and has an additional office in Dubai U.A.E. He works directly with the clients to ascertain their needs.

"The marble and granite business is an art, you have to tailor each project to what your client needs in term of price and quality" Wassim said.

"We don't believe in the large impersonal showroom, I want to know what a client really needs and how much he is willing to pay and then Wassim and I will find the perfect fit" said Osman.

Quality, Honesty and Reliability are the traits they were taught by their father. Now the three sons have brought the company into the 21st century providing that same service and business ethic to the entire world.
